Gotta love how these informercials try to paint the slightest inconvenience as some Herculean obstacle to be overcome, lol.

The fact that the floam volcano was not called the floamcano was a hell of a missed opportunity

Almost all the kids looked so upset at being doused in slushy over the squeezy freezy commercial lmao all except that one boy who looked so happy. Peak comedy.

They were forever hitting you with the one two punch of getting a free second one if YOU CALLED NOW

Can you imagine how happy the kids in the Wow Cup commercial were? "Okay, just shake this cup as much as you want and look happy."

Watching them try to advertise the wearable towel as a fashion piece is criminal

i read somewhere that a lot of infomercial products were originally designed for people with physical disabilities, but they had to justify manufacturing them to companies that didnt think disabled people were enough of a niche to make money off of. Makes a lot of sense if you watch products like the touch and brush (great for parkinsons, or if you only have one hand) or easyfeet (lifesaver for arthritis or a wheelchair user) with that in mind. the offer of an electric toothbrush with the touch and brush would make a lot of sense if their real target audience are people who dont have the physical ability to brush their teeth manually

They still have Wow Cups! The website has a lot more now, but it’s the same website as in the commercial and they sell these original ones!

What I love about these commercials is how they belittle a human's intelligence.

as someone who isn't American, this video is really interesting to me because it gives me a look at what kinds of commercials Americans find nostalgic today as opposed to what i find nostalgic, and also because it feels foreign yet familiar at the same time. i grew up with Australian free TV where it's usually British, Australian and a select few Canadian programs, so none of these ads aired when i was a kid, and yet, the 2000s cheesy infomercial feel is still very familiar to me. i think that's really intriguing.

I remember all but three of these! Born in 2001. My mom ordered Floam for me after I begged her to. Needless to say, it dried out so easily.
