Beginners Course - Lino Printing - Video Three

In today’s video we carve out the details in the rooftops and windows of the scene from Stranmillis in Belfast.

I also show you how I check the print before I ink it up.

A4 Copy paper
Graphite Block
MDF Board
Essdee Carving tool
15 x 20cm Soft cut Lino block

Good morning Colin have come across your videos on printing this as reignited me to dust of the press and get printing again.
I have come back to art late in life and returned to collage one of the courses was printing I could not get enough, etching and Lino cut so much fun.
That little neat trick at the end with the paper and carbon we never got shown that will help with the next Lino cut thanks.
The last year has been more art, but now will pull out the press as I can see a Christmas card design forming.👍

Enjoying the series - Have to try the graphite block to reveal where need to cut away some more to keep print clean.. a bit like a brass rubbing. Could you group into a playlist.
