I thing I'm going to cry, such a good man, helping and saving other people, and his house burns down on I think his birthday, of all days .
Please be at least safe, my hero 😢😢💘

I appreciate the dedication and hard work our firefighters do for us. They are usually first on the scene in any emergency and the last to leave. Thanks to all firefighters! Our prayers are with you all to keep you safe!
Question: how do these fires get their names?

Praises for all our emergency responders. When fighting a fire and losing their own homes, they are victims in multiple ways, once to witness the trauma of others losing citizens homes/businesses or their very lives, as well as their pets and livestock and then trying to protect homes and livelihoods of the public they serve. If losing their own home, not being present for their family struggling with the grief and loss during the tragedy they are working, but continuing onward to say homes of others and dealing with their own anguish but not quitting. Oftentime the carcinogens they breathe from the fires take their lives early and they deal with witnessing horrible traumatic injuries and dealing with the public weakness of drug addiction and its selfish cycle of destruction. God bless this family and all whom have lost their homes, not a club anyone wants to be in. These people are champions for public service, such as this Captain. Shame on all of you who are casting negative and selfish comments may you never experience this but if you do humility will be well served by your loss and suffering.

Respect for you Chief. Don't be to hard on yourself from this Thomas. This should make you feel about what you do for a living feel even closer to you now and even your family.

And his home was worth how much? $1.5 mill? These guys make 6 figure incomes with FAT retirement packages. He'll be fine, politicians will make sure the taxpayers pay for it.
