I drove this car as a loaner during some maintenance on my 335i. I was very impressed with the overall quality. Nav, Heads Up Display, Comfort, Sport, Cold Weather... the start stop wasn't as intrusive as I thought. Handling VERY good, comfort VERY good, Amenities excellent, fit and finish GREAT. Beautiful car. Great pickup for a 4 cylinder.

If you really don't like the Auto-start stop function, your BMW dealer can disable it complimentary. And it's not as violent as he's making it out to be. Just takes a little getting used to but nothing to get upset over.

OMG this guy is awesome not just for the good review but because he's the first reviewer to know what a twin scroll turbo is. Half the damn reviewers are like "it's a twin turbo."

Love mine... nothing to complain about this car... well, actually backup camera should be freaking standard. Oh and the HUD does have colors.

One of the best used car bargains. Actual hp is 268hp / 295lbs with the 8sp auto. Easily boost to 320hp. Plus, my StopGo is not intrusive at all, 2013my.

Full colour as in, when you have navigation on, and you pull up at a junction or a motorway exit, it will show the exit in colour and show you which of the lanes you need to pay attention to.

I just don't know why lots of dealer do not order the LED light package for the 3 series. It's just $800 add-on package for the LED angle eye, but make a huge difference! Add them on if you plan to get the new 3 series

@Harukoozt because the headlights are I believe 30Hz and the camera is 60Hz so u see the alternation. its something around that. or the camera at 30Hz and the lights at 50hz.

That engine look ridiculously small for this car, but it delivers results.

In only works well with hybrids, where the electric motor can accelerate you while the engine is starting up. Plus it's a fuel saving technology which goes well with the point of a hybrid

Saw the 2012 3 series this week and man is it big O_O Looks like a 5 series at first glance..

the bmw start stop uses a heavy duty bosch starter... its different than the others. hence the difference in feel

That's due to the shutter speed of the camera. Yes the lights are flashing but in real life they flash so quickly we don't actually notice it.

If you think the blinking, that's caused by the camera framerate. All led lights flash the whole time. It because of the principal how they work (wikipedia). They just blink so fast human eye can't see it. If you have some led light at home, try pointing some camera on them and you will see them blinking.
