Hey Paul Happy thanksgiving! Having a hard time figuring this situation out and appreciate any info

when using a portable generator as a non separately derived system to supply backup power to house via inlet box, and you now have a floating neutral on portable generator, 702.11 (B) states "Where a portable optional standby source is used as a nonseperatley derived system, the equipment grounding conductor shall be bonded to the system grounding electrode"

Can the cord that plugs from inlet to generator satisfy that bond? Or does the frame need to be directly bonded without splice to the homes grounding electrode system?

having a hard time finding out if the conditions meet 250.34 (1) and (2)
