You can see were Lemax started working on having the ghost move around on inside.the of a display which lead to Haunt house on the left and Ghostly Manor !

Thank you for showing this! I was able to find one online. I also love the more traditional haunted houses too.

One of the first ever spookytown pieces from it’s inaugural year!!! An absolutely amazing review and classic piece, great score!

This. This is what I miss. Alford Mansion is another old school great one.

Very cool building, and a great price! This does fit well with early Dept. 56 buildings, like the classic Grimsly and Mordecai Manors.

I've always liked Greaves Manor. I love that you're fitting in reviews of older pieces when you can.

Would love to see you continue to review older pieces. I am trying to decide between this one (Greaves Manor), Alford Mansion, and Shady Hollow Funeral Parlor which I think all have the rotating projection screens. I guess it will come down to exterior style preferences, but would love to see them if you have them or get them.

That looks so cool. Can’t believe you got it for only 40. I feel like a piece like that should go for much more

The Alford Mansion was the first piece I bought the year it came out. I've been collecting ever since. Bought pieces every year and still collecting. Can't wait until August when Michaels puts their spooky town stuff out. Nice piece you found for $40. Thanks for sharing.

I am obsessed with this building and I'm so glad it own it! The motor was loud on my piece, so I removed the component and just put a regular lemax bulb and it looks amazing, this year I'm going to try a green bulb for a more eerie look 🎃

A very nice looking piece. Old school finds are like discovering a hidden treasure.

Love this! I think it would work well with my neighborhood trick or treat homes. There are so many great haunted houses, but I never get them because the bright colors and over the top lights/animation I feel is outnof place with my traditional pieces. When everything is lit up, this would fit AND give the creepy house on the hill vibe like seeing the lights on with the Psycho house!

Thanks for reviewing these older pieces. This is a very nice piece that I have overlooked. It probably doesn’t stand out in some of the large displays I’ve seen online. I didn’t know or forgot that it had the revolving interior scene. My initial thoughts are that it came out in response to Dept 56 Haunted Mansion which was introduced in 1998 which also had a revolving interior scene. But it’s not a pure knock off. D56 went with a clear screen so it would light up the windows more, but show dark shapes and shadows moving around. A really cool idea. Lemax flipped this so that it was a black screen with clear to let the light through. It makes for a darker piece, but gives a really cool illusion of ghosts and spirits floating in the interior. Also a cool idea. The Dept 56 Haunted Mansion has a screen and bulb which is really easy to get to and fix, but it creates a problem when to trying to move or place the piece because it’s not attached. I like that this Lemax one is affixed, but how easy is it to replace the parts? Are these parts still made? Just curious. Also are there 2 different revolving projection screens in this house or is it one continuous moving screen?

Everyone is different in their styles. Which I love. And although I do like this piece . For me I do like the different color lighting that we are seeing more now with some of the newer pieces. They just grab my attention, especially at night. But for 40 bucks I would have snatched this one up too. 😁Thank you for the review. 🎃👻🎃👻

Fabulous older piece. I personally like both the outlandish/over the top pieces of today AND the muted, understated pieces of yesteryear. I will say though that much more care was taken with the paint job on older pieces. I opened this year's The Future Looks Dark -- the paint is a mess.

I have that mansion and plugs in and on top there's a Weather vain bat. I didn't know that came from spooky Town . I bought that a long time ago.
