Why Personal Stories about the War in Ukraine Matter?

My name is Natasha. I'm an immigrant in the US. I live in Seattle, WA and work as a Sr. PM for Amazon. We came here in mid-2021 after my husband won a green card lottery. Before that we spent 6.5 years in tiny European country called Lithuania. We are originally Russian, but we left the country, as we felt terrible about the Crimea occupation and our country's path towards a fascist state that culminated in full scale invasion into Ukraine in 2022 and total denial of the freedom of speech.

The war in Ukraine is one topic that is important to me in a very personal level. Another one is immigration and getting back to professional career abroad. That's something that I got through myself and what I've been helping others with since 2021 as a volunteer for Upwardly Global NGO. In the channel I'll talk about these and other topics.
