God DOES NOT Keep Marriages Strong

Yea; I agree! I am very strong in my faith and do/did a-lot of praying daily. The mother of my kids still filed for divorce after a 21yr relationship, and already had a boyfriend lined up (divorce isn’t finalized until the end of January 2025.) She was constantly separating from the marriage and threatening me with divorce when she wasn’t getting her way. Withheld from sex and all that. Then expected me to treat her like a queen. People are going to do what they want and be who they are. All you can do is trust that God got your back, and keep your faith.

I’ve seen marriages work/last just bc of shared commitment, respect and alignment, yes. I’ve seen believers get divorced too. Nonetheless, the best examples I’ve seen remains a marriage between two believers both having their deeper needs met from their primary relationship with God and selflessly loving each other from the abundant overflow of their spiritual lives.
They still have issues, but how they deal with them is just remarkable.

Religion doesnt guarantee that your marriage will be successful. Its to give your marriage the foundation it needs to stand and grow on. Its the morals, but you have the free will to do as you want

Just because those who claim to be Christians & have failed marriages doesn't mean they were grounded in God. & just because people who don't believe in God & have long marriages don't mean they're happily married. Men who are grounded in God will love better and will honor their marriage faithfully.

A strong relationship with the Lord. That is a true believer. One who acknowledges they are a sinner and asked for Jesus to come into their life. They will do much better in marriage. Marriage is the image of Christ relationship with the church. Here's an actual fact: marriage is a convenant established by God Almighty. I wonder if this guy realized that.

I would say that the stats are skewed a bit because not everyone that claims to be a Christian is a Christian. Rooted in God’s word, seeking Him first, growing your relationship with God individually and collectively, pray pray pray separate and together.

As someone who became Christian- non denominational at 22(26 now) . I learned fast that don’t follow religion . Following religion gets you in trouble . It’s your relationship for Christ in my case . Also, according to data … couples who pray every single day together have a less than 1% divorce rate . But your typical “religious couples” if you will - have about the same divorce rate as non Christian’s.

Christian marriages aren't the same as nonchristian marriages. There is much more leeway in non Christian marriages for sin and flesh. The Christian marriage, properly carried out, is much narrower. You can't compare the two.

Sounds like wrong religion. The truth is, it’s not praying only. It’s praying, believing in your prayer and Trust God. Not fear him, or just pray without believing. That man will be a good husband.
