What Really Happened To Germany's Football Team? -- Euro 2020

Germany are not really a sleeping giant but with Joachim Low set to leave after Euro 2020, it is time for the national side to reboot and start all over again.
At the same time, the new manager would be eager to see the local clubs produce enough talent that can capably represent the national side in future mega events.

Do you think Low will leave Germany as a European Champion?

Let me offer a different theory. Löw should have stepped down 2014 with the title and handed over to his assistant, Hansi Flick. You know, the guy who will now succeed him. The one who made most of the analytics and tactical briefings of the team while Löw was in front. Flick left because after 2014 everyone was licking Löws feet while Flick got no recognition whatsoever. And with Flick gone - the guy who could set up tactics to carve up any opposition - and replaced with third rate Yes-Men, the decline started.

This german Team is one of the oldest ever and the dfb keeps on telling us we have a young Team which needs time

Lahm was great, and when he retired, Germany looked far more vulnerable. Shweinsteiger was also very good, and he and Lahm leaving the team at the same time left the German defense vulnerable for a long time.

Difference between Löw and flick. Flick puts in players based on their performance, fitness and work rate. Löw just puts in his favourite players and doesn’t adapt much. I cannot wait for flick to takeover. He never beat around the bush at Bayern and he will finally let kimmich and goretzka play together in central midfield and hopefully play with a proper 10 again in front of them.

Joachim didn’t adapt to the new players. He simply filled spaces left by the old guys, without changing much.

German used to play few passes and score more goals but now they play more passes and score few goals. You are not spain but germany.

Most Germans wanted Löw gone after 2018, some even earlier. We need a restart in the german football association, the Coach is only one position there. We also need to develop real strikers again and need to go back to have our own identity not just the copy catted Spanish ball possession football that is outdated for a few years already. We need our own strengths back besides teamwork, discipline and will that is being dangerous when it comes to set pieces and long distance shots. The good thing is, we have identified the problem, we will fix it and we will be back, it will take time but we will because we always did it.

The future is Kai Hervertz, Gnaby, and Kimmich

Look at these records of the German football team in World Cups in the 21st century -
A. Scored 64 goals, conceded 22 goals. Goal difference +42.
B. Played 31 matches. Won 22, lost 6, drawn 3 (one draw was a penalty shootout victory, so actually won 23).
C. Never conceded 3 goals in a match.
D. Biggest victory: 8-0 (Saudi Arabia, 2002)
Biggest deafeat: 2-0 (Brazil, 2002; Italy, 2006; South Korea, 2018)
E. Reached finals twice, semi finals twice. One time champion.
WHAT A GREAT TEAM! RESPECT!

Löw changed out Klose? He won in 2014 with him!

What happened to Germany is because of Joachim Low is a stubborn coach who listen to his ass only refuse to change his tactics even he saw they are not working, the DFB should fired him right after the 2018 WC along with Bierrhof

I was looking at Germany's track record against Spain ⚽. It struck me that Germany has found it hard to win against Spain in recent times. I wonder what can be the reason(s)? 🤔

Every national team, even the great ones, goes through periods of transition or makes a misstep that takes a little while to recover from. For the first time in sixty years, that's happening to Germany.
