No longer needing a water hourglass to measure the cooking time of the pasta replaced by the timer function of the Google assistant, with which it can deduce valuable aggregate data such as eating habits and energy consumption of any citizen of low Molise, here in the South-East Italy, to be resold to companies in the respective sectors to optimize advertising campaigns and not having complied with the advice to replace the boiler or call a plumber or a boiler technician, as suggested by the aforementioned personal assistant who obviously deduced everything by crossing the previous ones data with the current list of blasphemies and imprecations generated by me.
After identifying that the leak was coming from a small hole in a plastic fitting and after trying unsuccessfully to plug it with some instant cyanacrylate glue and a clamp that I had available, I went to the nearest office to choose the epoxy putty. most suitable for the situation, the choice fell on Bostik Repair Plastic.
After disconnecting the electricity, closing the gas and water valves, draining the system by opening the hot water tap, removing the interlocking lining panels held by clips, I was able to easily intervene on the hole.
I sand the area of the hole to increase the grip of the epoxy putty.
I degrease the plastic with denatured alcohol that I had available.
I dry everything with a heat gun, but a normal hairdryer can also be used even if the times will be longer.

The epoxy putty in stick repairs, welds, rebuilds and grouts any surface

in plastic and resin glass, pipes, PVC pipes, plastic parts of bicycles, motorcycles and cars, boat hulls, water tanks, tanks, ceramics, glass, concrete, glass resin.

I cut from the stick with a moistened knife the amount necessary to wrap the part of the tube where the hole is present, I reapply the film and put it back in the hermetic tube.

I mix until I get a homogeneous color.

If mixing is difficult, just bring the stick to room temperature.
By mixing the two components of which the stick is composed, a chemical reaction is created which makes the substance obtained usable for many applications.
I apply it within 3-4 minutes after mixing and model it all around the tube to have the best possible grip and resistance, since the tube is also at a water pressure of about 3 bar.

Any fingerprints can be removed by rubbing with water or a damp cloth before the start of polymerization, but having used gloves, the surface is already smooth.

The drying time may vary depending on the type of surface, the amount of product used, the air temperature or humidity.

This putty withstands temperatures of 120 degrees.

Unlike other types of adhesives, epoxy putty can be used to fill holes and cracks, but also to rebuild structural elements where, for example, there is a need to add thickness to obtain a good bond, such as in the case where pieces are missing. .
In addition, some types of epoxy grout are specifically created to resist humidity, for example to seal leaking systems, tanks and pipes, but also to repair parts of a swimming pool tiles, because some types are also applicable under water; therefore, based on the conditions and the material to which it is applied, the most suitable one must be chosen.

Reassembly and stop of the safety valve.

I open the water valve.

After letting the grout harden for about two hours even if the maximum hardness is obtained after 24 hours, I reassemble and reactivate the system to test it.

I replace the interlocking side panel and insert the plastic pressure lock.

I put a rubber pad between the panel and the structure to limit vibrations.

Reassemble the interlocking front panel and tighten the appropriate fasteners to secure it.

I reattach the inspection door.

I open the water and gas valves, turn the power back on and turn on the boiler.

The boiler is back to working perfectly and without any water loss.

I decline any responsibility for any damage to people, animals and things that may have occurred to anyone wishing to imitate the procedure illustrated in the video which is for entertainment purposes only.
