Join us for a walking tour in Icmeler, Turkey. Directly across the bay from İçmeler is the busy port of Marmaris. Water taxi boats run between Marmaris, Icmeler and nearby Turunç.

İçmeler is in the district of Marmaris, Muğla Province, Turkey. Icmeler is a popular holiday resort situated 8 kilometres southwest of Marmaris. İçmeler Bay is located on the Datça Peninsula. Icmeler is surrounded on three sides by pine forests.

Icmeler has developed rapidly over the last 15 years, from a sleepy fishermen's and sponge divers' village. Icmeler is now seeing an increasing amount of water sports facilities. Situated on the Turkish Riviera, Icmeler has developed off the back of tourists seeking a quieter alternative to the overdeveloped city of Marmaris. Icmeler is particularly popular with British tourists.

Whilst loved by tourists for the shopping and relaxed nature, prices in İçmeler have increased in recent years. However, many people still prefer Icmeler to Marmaris and it remains a popular Turkish holiday resort.

The closest airport to Icmeler is Dalaman Airport, 103 km to the east. Marmaris is 8km from Icmeler and Fethiye is 133km from Icmeler.

Wow. Another fine clean looking town. Am impressed. Not very crowded also. I like the shape of the light post on the streets. Very different. 😊😊
