Saatchi Art presents Bradley Wood’s first solo show in New York as part of the online gallery’s series of “real world” events, highlighting the work of exceptional emerging artists from all over the world who are part of Saatchi Art.

Curated by Rebecca Wilson, Chief Curator at Saatchi Art, the exhibition, entitled “Domestic Fictions,” presents a new series of paintings which are as much about the “luscious butteriness of oil paint,” as Wood puts it, as they are rich narratives about an eclectic cast of characters.

I like that he sits and makes sketches of his own work. Maybe helps him to understand what he wants out of the composition more thoroughly as he continues to work on it.

Amazing video! I am always appreciate to be involved in a process of somebody's creativity through the window of the computer... and learn more about the talented artist's techniques. Love the bright colors he used and his thick rich brush strokes. I will continue be painting today and this wonderful story will stay with me all day. Thank you.

I've been a painter for 26 years, sometimes showing in museums---I find his use of mounds of amazing, oozing colors are extremely sensual. I work with acrylics so I have a different experience, but this is probably why I find the way he applies the paint so mesmerizing. Then I also like the outcome!!

I like the way he uses his brush strokes, therefore enabling him to have the capacity to move and glide with those movements, swiftly as well as smoothly, and gently slowly at times to achieve his contemplated concluding result, that resounds to me an important astonishing result to be recognised and commended, which is accuracy. it is a natural talent that he has; and with any medium, I expect. I am fond of his blend of colours.

some people have so much money....huge amounts of paint, canvases, large studio...if you want to be taken seriously you must paint LARGE for all the buyers with large houses...i can no longer afford to buy art supplies and i am every bit as "good" as this guy
