Great work on the pretty strip of wildflowers! Showing the benefits of the tools in action was very informative and inspiring :)
I also encourage biodiversity and wild flowers here in Denmark where I live. But find it very difficult to persuade especially elders about the need - or beauty - of such places. And it is so important to get that acceptance. Do you have any advice on how you frame things when you get push back? The complaints I hear are often: “sure, it can be pretty in summer but it looks awful in all other seasons!” Or “what about bees, wasps, mosquitos and ticks on our children (or pets) if they play in those areas?” Or “I’m allergic to wasp stings, I could die if I get one, so a lawn and no insects is safer and much nicer” and of course the classic: “but it looks messy!!” (even with some kept, clipped lawn bordering it).
Do you also get those? What do you answer - or would you answer - to each of those?
