Single Stroke Roll Slow

Показать описание
This single stroke roll slow is for a new student and is mainly for somebody that has never played a single stroke roll before.
Hence the heavy emphasis on saying out-loud your right and left hands.
As I always say “if you can say it you can play-it”!
You have to go slow to go fast!
See you there!
Thanks

Nice demonstration man. Try not to choke up on the stick so much as it decreases the efficiency and power of your strokes. Its standard to be 2/3 down from the stick so you can maintain accurate control while still having power. If your using a vic firth stick, place your thumb where the flag would be. Take care :)

Anyone else thinking he'd keep speeding up and somehow still say right/left

well done! remember to keep pressure on your fulcrum, that's where the rotation is. Also, try not to choke up on the stick so much, the standard position is about 2/3s down the stick.

Think of it as triplets; you'll get faster in a hurry.

You'll get that single stroke a little faster and more even if you grip the sticks right. The way you're doing it makes it to where you use too much arm motion. Technique should be practiced before single stroke rolls. Not trying to be a dick. Just trying to help educate. 🍻
