Abraham is a great example on how actions perfect faith. Actions is not proof of ones faith, but it's the fruit of ones faith.

I think an important emotional consideration is that God may have wanted the patriarch of Israel to understand the feelings surrounding offering your son for the sake of righteousness. This seems to show that God truly desires a relationship with humanity.

The Gibeonites requested that David give them 7 male descendants of saul as revenge. David did so. That is the most disturbing event in the whole bible for me. That is human sacrifice. I cannot reconcile this. I don't question the most high Yah, but this seems out of character for God.
