Hey, mr. Lee I received a letter today on being able to terminate my MIP, should I go ahead and cancel, I've only had my house 4 months now

Is it normal to have the 1.75% mip added to the loan PLUS pay monthly mip? I have an uncle who got an FHA. 5% down and they are adding the 1.75% ($8, 300) to the loan. Plus he will be paying $314 monthly for mortgage insurance. It seems like they are double dipping him. Thanks! Good vid btw
