I told my anesthesiologist " I'll probably fight this"
He replied, "go ahead, I have a truckload of this shit"

I have been a endo nurse for almost 10 yrs now. I have only seen 1 person fight propofol for 2 mins actually having casual conversation w the CRNA & myself. Turns out he was retired Navy Seal. No wonder he was so good at it!!! First we thought his IV was bad. Then maybe it was a bad batch of milk of amnesia! Lol! It was awesome to actually see their training!

She actually made it to 14 because she got to 4 and he made her restart.

She did it.
I'll give it to her.
😆The high pitched voice change was involuntary but, she did it. If you lost the bet...pay the woman.
I have spoken.

I went thru almost 50 hours of labor before my doc decided to finally show up & say I needed a c-section. I was so worn out and in so much pain. The anesthesiologist came in and found out what was going on & whispered in my ear, “You poor thing, don’t worry, I got you.” And hooked me UP with some drugs! Didn’t feel a thing for the rest of the day and floated too. I swear if my daughter had been a boy, her name would have been “Justin”, after him, and I told him so!

As a mom who had an emergency cesarean I found a whole new respect for anesthesiologists. Doc was trying to save the baby, nurses were trying to help Doc, Dad was trying not to pass out, and no one could answer me or tell me what was going on but the anesthesiologist. He made me feel so much better and made sure I knew his sole priority was my safety and comfort. I don't even know the man's name but that moment has really stuck with me.

I had surgery two weeks ago and told them do not wake me up. Let me sleep. I have kids and a husband. This is a break. Just let me sleep. They were so nice they let me sleep. When I woke up it was like 4 hours later. Surgery was 2 and I got the extra 4. After that I could have fought crime I was so refreshed.

Y’all, the no fingernail polish thing is not a big deal anymore.
They can put the oximeter on your toe if they need to, but the modern ones can read through just about anything.
I kept my acrylic nails through a double mastectomy, 3 follow ups to place drains when I got septic, and another 2 to remove the expanders my body rejected.
They were already taking my breasts, my hair was falling out, NO WAY was I letting take my nails!

The little "ten" at the end with the accompanying hand ten is hilarious 😂

My oral surgeon said he’d never seen someone go to sleep so fast. I told him my Son was 7 weeks old. He nodded because that explained it.

You can tell she probably a very determined person. She refused to give up until she got to her goal of 10. Lol. She's awesome

Anesthesiologists are the best. During both of my c-sections, they advocated for me in getting to be more involved in my deliveries. The nurses all said “no cameras in the operating room” and before my babies were taken out, the anesthesiologists basically yelled at my husband to get his camera out and document these moments for me. Those pictures are so precious & magical.

I had the most amazing anesthesiologist for my daughter's birth 8 weeks ago. I was admitted as I was in labor one week ahead of my due date. Then they lost my baby's heartbeat in the monitor for a couple minutes (the worst of my life). The room exploded into organized chaos as everyone prepped me for surgery all at the same time. Her heartbeat came back, so they figured she might have wrapped her cord around her neck. There were literally 12 staff in the tiny intake room, all trying to get an IV started (6 failed attempts before they brought in a lab tech who was an absolute ninja), prep me for surgery and the whole time Sarah the anesthesiologist is getting the info she needs to place my epidural. She placed it perfectly even with all that chaos and actually coordinated all of the nurses. In the surgery theater, she was the calm voice keeping me engaged with everything going on as everyone else was focused on getting my baby out asap. She made a terrifying experience a beautiful one. My little girl was born an hour after I was admitted. It took 40 minutes for doctors to stitch me back together again and it felt like the longest of my life. Sarah was by my side, not just literally, supporting me as I was frantic to see my baby. She was an absolute rockstar.

There's no better sleep than anesthesia. In recovery I was so pissed at the nurse who kept waking me up. Oh, how I loved that deep, creamy, warm, velvety slumber!
