Prices are way too high and hit rates are way too low... streamers are getting tons of the new products early and ruining it for actual hobbyists

Legalized gambling for kids - this is NO hobby; it’s a billionaire money grab allowing social media Breakers to do free marketing by providing them with no allocation limit to product while not supplying the LCS’s with any product in comparison; and need I have to go into the multiple versions of inserts which these companies attempt to make you feel like you are receiving some sort of value!

If only Fanatics didn't allow the "Breakers"/ "Whatnot"/ "Fanatic Live"/ & card shops to take over the hobby it would still be a hobby for true collectors & kids

How can you grow the hobby when majority of kids cannot afford the packs that give any kind of return with any longterm hold value because of the mass print runs and ridiculous amount of parallels that just over saturate the market? The hobby is driven by gambling degenerates and box breakers buying up all the products and inflating box prices that the average consumer cannot afford.

Ryan, I get that people in the industry, especially hobby stores, are in fear of losing their accounts with Fanatics but why have him on if you're not going to ask important questions like :

- where does your store, and others stand going forward?
-why are stores getting their allocations cut to shreds?
-what happened to "the hobby stores are the backbone of this industry" when costs are sky high to where there really isn't much meat left on the bone for stores to profit?
-is your goal to basically be e-commerce only once you have monopolized the industry in the next two years?
-do you feel selling a product like Triple Threads Baseball at $500 a box is conducive to bringing more "collectors" into the hobby or at least keeping the ones you have now?

Big fan of yours Ryan! But this interview did seem rehearsed. As if the questions asked would be agreed upon and only to put them in good light. I would have appreciated some questions that the average collector wants to know like pricing, CT, and other things fanatics could do that we wanna know about how they will approach them. It could have been asked in a respectful manner while still asking the “tough” questions the big company’s don’t like to answer but need to answer. Again, big fan of yours and what you’ve done on this channel!

How funny would it be if the Skenes debut patch auto is in the box behind Mahan?

After hearing him talk i couldn't agree more. But theres one problem why is it so hard for a LCS to buy direct so all of those things he mentioned can be done.

Would be cool to see your ticket collection!

Man we used to go around after EVERY game trying to find other physical tickets that people left in addition to ours.... I miss collecting physical tickets!!! What I dont miss is the hobby being essentially feeling like one giant monopoly because Fanatics owns everything...I dont like it, it doesnt feel right, and Im NOT a fan of Fanatics buying up every little thing... I dont think its a good thing overall. Topps should have stayed Topps...its too much.

While I think we’ve seen some improvements with Topps I’m not sure they are as collector focused as they claim. Flagship products like Series 1, 2, Chrome, Update, and Chrome Update continue to go up in price and the Debut Patch is a wonderful innovation it is in the wrong product. Those patches should be in Dynasty which is already expensive and the consumer knows that. The secondary market for update chrome has ruined the collectors experience. $400 for a hobby and $800 for a jumbo is ridiculous. We are seeing push back on Bowman and Bowman draft as well.

You got to open a pallet of chrome to get enough buyback for a box of Draft 😂😅😢

What Topps & Fanatics is doing now is trying to take away as much money as they can as quickly as possible.

I would love to know if they plan to price gouge like Panini is doing right now with unfair inflated prices
