Festool conturo is your friend and it’s way easier to edgeband your cab parts before assembly.

I've got a nice poplar piece, but am having trouble finding banding locally. I think I might just use Birch since it looks very similar. Any experience on how the 2 species take to stain? Is it similar or would it be noticable?

Might be a good idea, in the future, to offset your shelves so you don’t have that awkward transition of seams on the face.

How can you trim excess wood in inner parts that router can't reach
