fun fact, spider punk had rules for his animation, as of probably every other spider-man, BUT, because he doesn’t believe in consistency, they allowed them (and encouraged) to break those rules, i find this so cool. (him alone took 3 years to animate as well)

You know a movie is good when you want to physically be part of its world

From Spider Verse, to Owl House, to Arcane and more, animation is finally getting respect as a mature art form and i could not be happier.

the combination of the cliffhanger and the violin intro of "am i dreaming" felt like a slap to the face in the best way possible

To be honest, I don't think we'll ever get a movie series better than Spiderverse. The animation, the writing, the characters, everything about it is just incredible and I doubt anything will ever beat it.

I like to think that Lego spidey is from the Lego movie universe, it just fits so well
Edit: ok a lot of ppl r saying it’s actually the super heroes games universe… can someone explain bc the Lego spidey in atsv it has the same style and humor as the Lego movies

My favorite bit is when they introduced Hobie as a “rival lover” w/ the toothbrush hint only to be Gwen and Miles’ big brother figure, love that little twist 💖

I am so happy this movie exists. It actually made me cry in the cinema, unlike actual Marvel movies. It had an incredible art style and animation, I’ve NEVER seen anything with such an amazing animation and art style. It’s sad that the workers where overworked to make this movie. Even if so, I’ve never felt so happy seeing a movie in the cinema, it was perfect and the *cannon events* memes are so funny to me just because of this movie. This movie made my year EASILY. It’s just amazing and idk how to say it any other way, its pure cinema.

“Everyone telling me how my life is supposed to go, nah ima do my own thang” gave me chills in the theater

I really like The Spot. He seemed like a joke at first he gradually became more and more threatening as the sequel progressed. And they did a great job at making him a terrifying character. ESPECIALLY his theme. Though it was odd he just disappeared in the second half.

It was incredible. I loved the movie so much. It was disappointing it got a to be continued but that means there are so many ideas that the writers have. Dang it was so freaking good. I loved every moment

The movie was one of the best animated movies I’ve ever seen. I’m sad it ended on a cliffhanger, even though I knew it would. The reason why I love many shows and movies is thinking about the possibilities (next season, next movie etc.)

This movie was so pleasing visually and storywise
It's such a shame (but kind of expected) that the animators were treated so unfairly

I like that Across the Spider-Verse sort of has its own original story and instead of adapting or remaking preexisting storylines, it does its own thing. The whole film also felt like a wonderful art gallery where art styles deliberately clash and it's absolutely GORGEOUS.

In regards to characters, I like how Hobie Brown was initially used to set-up a "love triangle" but thankfully made him a good friend and supporter of Miles and his whole anarchy theme and gimmick isn't just for aesthetics since it also shows that Hobie himself thinks the Spider-Society is shit. And yeah, Pavitr is definitely precious boy and the whole joke with "chai tea" takes the cake. I'm just hoping Beyond the Spider-Verse doesn't make Miguel a full-on villain and give him a redemption arc where he realised where he fucked up and becomes more supportive of and helpful to Miles.

Still sad that animators still overworked in Across the Spider-Verse. Honestly, I feel like with the Spider-Verse movies (and every movie to be honest), overworking should NOT be the way to go since it will just result in a more sucky film. In order for animation to be and feel great, it requires more time and passion. They mustn't rush or overwork.

Because of Spiderverse and The Mitchells, I can’t look at animation the same way I used to. I just can’t! And I’m glad I won’t! We really need more movies like this!! (I know we’ve gotten those like Puss in Boots and The Bad Guys, but still!)

the fact that the writers while researching thought Spot was just a weird nerdy guy, only to find he was the most evil man in the spider-verse is amazing. It's actually quite poetic since Miles also thought the same, and also then realized Spot is actually a threat.
This movie is just so
