Amazon Ads can be a fairly easy and inexpensive way of selling more books. But up until recently, Amazon ads has been strictly for those authors self publishing books. Well not anymore. Today I’m going to show you how to access Amazon Ads for Traditional Authors.

Something I don’t talk about very much is that, while I have been self-publishing books since 2016, I am actually also a traditionally published author. This has given me the advantage of being able to discuss first hand the differences between being traditionally published and self published. So when I found out that now there’s a way to access Amazon ads for my traditionally published books, that’s a huge game changer.

What do you think about Amazon letting traditionally published books access Amazon Ads? Let me know down in the comments.

Now enough about me, let me show you how to access amazon ads for your traditionally published book.

How quick and easy was that?

It’s crazy that you can now access Amazon ads for traditionally published books, simply from your author central page.

You have set up your author central page right? I mean it’s practically your own storefront right there on Amazon and it’s free to set up. Check out this video right here and I’ll show you how to set it up. Heck, even if you’ve set yours up already, you might want to watch the video just to see how rough my earlier videos were and get a good laugh. Anyway, if you’ve already seen that video, YouTube says you should check out this one right here.

I’ll see you in one of these videos and remember to write right.

Thank you for uploading this video! Btw, your author central page looks great. Can't wait to have one, too, following your tutorial! :-)

The problem I had with advertising my traditionally published book was that I had no access to the sales data so I couldn't see if the ads were working. Plus, because I was getting a small royalty, it would have been hard to make it profitable. And it kind of felt I was advertising for my publisher rather than for me! But if you can make it work for you then cool 🙂

Thanks for the info. I was hesitant about creating AMZ ads for my trad pubbed books too due to no way of accessing data. I'm not sure I'd break even with the small royalty on the books. But I would like to sell more books!!

Wow I had no idea trad pub can set up author central and then run ads, that's cool 😎

I'm using amazon ads for low content kdp books. I'm doing ok at being at the top and I know this sounds weird but is there a way to be down a little? Most scroll down and skip the top book. So I would rather be more down the 1st page. Would I lower my bid for my most popular keyword? This ad stuff is not that easy. But I find it fun. My husband says it's because I'm competitive even though I don't think I am. I starting to think he is right lol
