nonsense! & malpractice. majority of people are not addicts, will never be, & even addicts deserve care (& can be in pain). *leaving people in pain or reaching for non opioids is not appropriate* . treat the pt. sure, short course. chronic pain: that is a primary care or pain specialist problem. short course & followup. same w dental. all this mucking about around. *no one* is running a habit from the ED. moral panic. -JC
