i thought i was on a kids’ site but all i saw were deeqs 😳

while DQ Tycoon is the better-known Dairy Queen video game, Unite the Deeqs came out in January of 2008, whereas DQ Tycoon came out in December of 2008, making Unite the Deeqs the original Dairy Queen video game (i believe).

GOD IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE ELSE REMEMBERS THIS!!! This was weirdly one of my favorite games to play when I was really young 🥺🥺 watching the videos of the gameplay and seeing the little Deeqs faces filled my heart with such intense nostalgia and happiness 🥺

Loved this game as a kid :P i remember being able to customize the inside of your house with dq themed furniture as well, to this day i remember one of the patterns for wallpaper or something was houndstooth and that was the first time i had ever seen that pattern before, makes me think of the game every time i see it

Also I like how you described the feel of the game: Dreamlike. It definitely gives off the vibes (from the visuals to the music) of wandering through a wonderful, dream world.

Even the dark storm (the Deeq's evil counterpart) could be seen as a dream, suddenly shifting into a nightmare.

FINALLY someone has talked about this! I would play this game all the time during the summer on my grandma's laptop! GOD to see footage of it is so surreal and nostalgic! I swear I remember going to a mall or something? I only have the most vague of memories of this game... CAN WE GET A UNITE THE DEEQS REWRITTEN?

Omg I LOVED this game. I wish they finished the story (and had more customization) and hate how they changed it into puzzles.

Also I thought they were trying to defend themselves from an evil version of them called Veeqs.

Thanks a ton for this walk down memory lane. Back in the day, I browsed that net quite a bit. Looking for free web games to play (cause my family couldn't afford to buy many game).

And this is definitely a game that pops back in my mind, from time to time.😊

Looking back, companies got really creative with how they promoted their products through flash sites/games (and even further back with Javascript/shockwave).

Shame that the story for this game never continued.😔

Part of this game's story was to also deal with evil Deeqs, the Veeqs who were also a part of the storm when you get all the map pieces (which you get because of that spoon riding game) it leads you to the fridge (or was it a mixer I know it was one of those two) that created the Deeqs which they needed and there wasn't much in terms of chapters released after restoring the map that was it they seriously didn't add the other parts of the story. I should know I spent a ton of time playing this game and I miss it. Also, there was a second track of music that played when you play the game. Sadly it appears to be lost.

I was the first alpha tester when the game came out as me (was like 9) and other children were paid by a marketing company to help pick out the games we wanted to see and how the Deeqs looked like. We got paid like 350 for 1 or 2 hours of sharing our opinions and I recall playing it when no one else every did since it was private access. When release came out all they added was the soccer game. I recall them making it quiz you on the lenght of the DQ spoon and you would unlock chapters to the hidden pages or something. 10/10 nice video, man was it fun back in the day

A GameCube title Darkened Skye was licensed by Skittles (Mars, Inc.). It’s like a full rpg, and was pretty well received.

It has skittle based lore as well.

I know I’m late to this whole parade, but I haven’t given up hope when it comes to searching for this game. I believe there’s always a chance of finding it, despite how slim it is right now. There’s always a chance that there’s something on the horizon! I just hope someone has an old computer with the files on it.
