That's Alex Lacamoire, music director of "Hamilton" at the piano.

Wow, he's literally in tears. I can't believe how beautiful this is, and how he's clearly drawing from such a deep well of emotion. I don't know whether it's acting or if he feels a real connection to the song but either way, I believed his performance, I believed it so much.

NBC should have hired him for RENT LIVE.

He’s a little scruffy here and I’m liking it. :)

"Before the virus takes hold" hits different in 2021.

I expect nothing less than a great performance from Aaron, and that's what this is. Needless to say: this is a vocally and emotionally demanding song and Aaaron handles it beautifully. He is clearly connected to that emotion of the song without losing control. Beautiful.

Alex Lacamoire has a way to make super great songs into masterpieces. As does Aaron's voice

One song glory
One song, before I go
Glory, one song to leave behind

Find one song, one last refrain
Glory, from the pretty boy front man
Who wasted opportunity..

One song, he had the world at his feet
Glory, in the eyes of a young girl...a young girl.

Find glory, beyond the cheap colored lights
One song, before the sun sets
Glory...on another empty life

Time flies, time dies
Glory, one blaze of glory
One blaze of glory...glory.

Find glory, in a song that rings true
Truth like a blazing fire,
An eternal flame...

Find, one song
A song about love
Glory, from the soul of a young man...a young man.

Find, the one song
Before the virus takes whole glory
Like a sunset
One song, to redeem this empty life..

Time flies
And then, no need to endure anymore
Time dies..

I’ve just discovered Aaron from starting Graceland (I know, I’m like years behind).
But omg, this song.. Jesus, major chills. Loved it in the movie version, and I hadn’t heard it in years.
The first few chords started and I knew exactly what was coming.
He is so so good.
Wow.. just… wow!
Ty for uploading this. ❤️

This guy could sing me the phone book and I pay money for it. Having said that; I like Adam pascal’s version. I feel this song needs that grit.

Aaron is great, but I was totally enthralled with Alex jamming out at 1:15 🤩
