Is Lamar Jackson A Playoff Choker?

Lamar Jackson has been a two-time league MVP, multiple-time all-pro, and has been the second-best quarterback in the NFL since 2019, dominating everything in the process, except for when he gets to the playoffs. Despite the Raven's defense doing an all-time great job with Lamar Jackson on the team, his playoff record sits at 2-4 so in this video we go over Lamar's brief history in the playoffs and answer the question, is he a playoff choker? Anyway, if you enjoyed this video at all then like and comment if you want, and you can even subscribe if you think I've earned it.

Steam emerged from his bathroom. Putting his towel around his waist, thatsgoodsports was shocked, standing face to face with Derrick Henry and all of his total mass. He panicked, but luckily Benchwarmerbran came to the rescue aided by his extensive football analysis of Lamar Jackson highlights. Tom Grossi watched in horror as Mikerphone found both of them.

As a ravens fan I’m grateful we have Lamar. But damn it’s more frustrating to me because we keep pretending like next time it will be different. Best rushing attack in the league and we abandon the run in the AFC championship game??

In my opinion the media is treating him like Peyton Manning before he won his two rings

Massively overlooking John Harbaughs lack of coaching in these games.

Look, I'm a Steelers I will continue to argue that Zay Flowers blew that playoff game for Ravens. Getting that personal foul after the long gainer, instead of getting right up to the line and scoring quickly, really hurt their chances to win that game...to say nothing of his mishap later. We need to see Lamar in the playoffs one more time and see if he can find a way to get wins

I think that the main problem with him is that he's now gained the reputation of a playoff choker, and that could be affecting him mentally whenever he's playing in a big game. Goes to show how important mind games are at these stages in the season. My beloved Niners have already had this reputation as a team, and now I think Lamar has it as a player. He's an amazing quarterback, but also a perfect example of how important your mentality is in sports.

You guys do realize that if Lamar were to win a super bowl, the narrative would immediately switch to "he was carried by his defense" "mickey mouse ring" "Mahomes still has more" right?

His playoff record needs to improve but overall he gets us to the playoffs almost every year which is more than most in the NFL. I'll take my chances and stick with him rather than others.

Lamar is just struggling with the same thing every other qb is struggling with. Being in the same league as mahomeboy.

As a Bengals fan, the best way I can describe watching Lamar is that from the regular season to the playoffs, he goes from Darth Vader in the hallway to Darth Vader getting blown away by the Falcon. From terrifying to hilariously unclutch in an instant. (Seriously, he has as many hilariously back-breaking endzone picks (the Buffalo pick-six in 2020 and vs. KC in 2023) as MVP's and playoff wins lol)

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan is currently the best choker right now. Lamar Jackson got nothing on him. 0 and 3 in Superbowls he was the play caller in after having double digit leads in all 3

Jared Goff has won more playoff games than Lamar, yet people say Goff is mid. Not to mention his stats are great as well.

Kind of reminds me of 49ers' Steve Young in the early 90s. Great QB when he became starter. But kept on losing in the playoffs to a young, powerful, very hungry Cowboys team. The "Team of the 90s." Young was considered good but not great until overcoming the hurdle of the Cowboys.

In today's NFL, if you're in the AFC, all roads to the Super Bowl go through the Chiefs. This past Chiefs team wasn't even the best, especially compared to the prior championship team they had. I still recall how bad the memes were about their receivers earlier in the season. But it was still enough to beat the Ravens in the AFC Championship and my 49ers in the Super Bowl. You look at Mahomes' playoff stats and one thing you can say about him is that mistakes are very rare. He doesn't often gift you with turnovers and bad performances.

Lamar Jackson has to overcome this.

Lamar Jackson is the James Harden of the NFL.
Great regular season player, who puts up big numbers, wins lots of games with atleast 1 MVP on the resume.
But come playoff time, both players shrivel up and disappear spectacularly. Failing to meet the moment despite massive expectations every year!

Mediocre Chiefs team? That defense was insane tho

As a die hard ravens fan, hell no! Harbaugh needs to held accountable for letting Monken forget what got us to the dance.

We downplay the fact that with the #1 seeds you immediately get to skip the easier first rounds giving an opportunity to beat lesser opponents.

Its so weird how sports discourse goes. Everything has to be so dramatic, everything has to be a choke, a meltdown, fraudulent etc. Sometimes the other team just plays better and they win.

Meh. They lost to the Titans because they couldn’t convert 4th and short and Derrick Henry rushed for 200 yards.

I'm a firm believer that QBs get too much credit AND blame in a team sport. I mean, other than Mahomes, who should get that credit. I think Jackson is still in the improving portion of his career, but one season they will break through and he'll be in the superbowl. But if an o-line is leaking Chris Jones like rain, it doesn't matter who is at QB. It's just going to be a bad day for them.

I live in Baltimore(Not a Ravens fan) every year I see my family & friends talk up Lamar and the Ravens only for them to struggle or blow it in the playoffs. I really feel sorry for Ravens fans because that team in 2023 was special & they lost a lot of players and the defensive coordinator.
