Happy, well adapted cows!

I’ll speak quite a bit about well adapted livestock.
When I made the move to southern Ontario I brought with me cattle that were used to being pampered. Not being able to baby my animals was a hard pill to swallow. We are now in our 3rd winter here, both the cows and myself have adjusted. The cattle are actually much happier and content in this system. Initially it is very hard to watch some of your favourite animals not adjust well and need to be sold. However the animals that fit this landscape have done well and are producing offspring that will continue to improve with every generation.
