Показать описание
"Ninco Nanco" or "Ninco Nanco Deve Morire" is a song written by Eugenio Bennato about the famous brigand, Giuseppe Summa, often known coloquially as "Ninco Nanco". The song describes the chaos of the time in South Italy right after Italian unification. The language in the song is not Neapolitan, however it is a southern dialect of Standard Italian, which includes plenty of Neapolitan words and grammar.

Apologies for any translations that may be incorrect
Audio in question is Ninco Nanco - Eugenio Bennato
Special thanks to my friend Erapty for helping decipher deeper meaning in the song.

al minuto uno zero zero dice "che da brigante murette accis" "who as brigade died killed" e "p'cchè nun c' vulett stare' "because he didn't want to accept the state of things"

It's a brigant song... not an anti brigant song. It talks about a brigant who lived and died at Avigliano (Basilicata), his name was Nicola Summa but he was called Ninco Nanco
