This is a big old Master Lock, but how does it hold up to picking? 🤔😂

Remember: only pick locks that are yours and that are not in use! Keep locksport legal!

Great job picking and raking!! I had to look and I don’t have a 15. I thought I might but I think it’s a 5. It’s a bit grungy lol!! I thought I was the only one that had trouble raking but you are much better at it. Great video!!Happy pickings!!

Great job my friend, I never cease to be surprised to see these locks so robust, but so vulnerable to picking attack, it's a shame.
Thanks for showing buddy ;o))

I came across one of these at a lovelock site and was not sure if I should be intimidated or not because of the size plus I wasn't sure if it was the 15 or the 19 that was hard to pick.
Ima have one of these in my collection soon:)

You need an older #19 Master which is the largest they ever made with 6 pin core, key retaining -- factory sold slightly less than 10, 000 as their target number to continue production, so was discontinued in the 70's I believe. You see them on eBay once in-a-while (I have 2, one NIB)

I've never understood the use of a snake rake. Out of all my rakes(>20), it's dead last on the list. Great review!

those master lock 5 pin cores are the finest available in a laminated padlock in oak creek, Wisconsin.

where can I buy the super skinny shim picks you guys use, and also the best top of keyway kit? I need super skinny pics and shims for taking off master lock key boxes and other key boxes off properties we buy.

The master #15 I have has a yellow band. Does anyone know if there's a difference between blue and yellow bands, and if so what is it?

I have an ancient #17 (maybe 1965?) which is as hard to pick as an American 1100, even though it has no spools. Just a lot of wear, grit, and corrosion.

It seems that Master lock decided that since only four to six percent of thefts involve lock picking, they make a very physically strong lock and accept the four to six percent of picking attacks.
Master lock is good at marketing and distribution.

Dosen't matter that it's a Master Lock, you are a great picker bro

Stick in a decent core with nice deep spools, extreme bitting and that might be a half decent lock.

Chunky and clunky, but still a Master!
