I have been super impressed with the results of some of these studies, particularly with psilocybin and mdma therapy. I really think the data is there on them being effective, and mostly safe. That being said more research could very well convince more people that this is safe and effective.

Mdma as treatment for ptsd... ptsd is hard but mdma can destroy any human being I have seen

It's really time to start making a distinction between "evidence-based" medicine and public health. Broad spectrum antibiotics can be safe and even useful at the level of treating an individual patient, but their wide-spread use could easily turn into a public health disaster for reasons that are well known to public health professionals.
