Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, I'm Maggie and I have Crohn's disease. I am thrilled to be here sharing my personal experiences with Inflammatory Bowel Disease as well as living with an ostomy. I'm proud to share a little bit from a clinical experience as well, having worked as a GI pediatric nurse and ostomy telehealth nurse. I am so glad you are here. ♥ #ibd #crohnsdisease #ostomy

💜💜 I have Crhons and I've had my ileostomy for 3 years now... It also gave me my life back....

I understand. Ulcerative Colitis here, 6th year with my ileostomy. It was like a miracle getting my ileostomy. All my doctors made it sound like it would be the end of my life, I was way too young for an ostomy, etc, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. They only say that because they only have an infinitesimal idea of the amount of pain and suffering we go through during that time. A bag is a million times better, and I couldn't be more thankful for it after all of that. I imagine you know exactly what I mean. God bless ❤️

I'm genuinely so excited for my stoma surgery. I know how tough it's going to be but I can't wait for the amount of time I will get back in the day from not taking a million trips to the toilet.

It looks like it's horribly painful. I hope it's not. It's wonderful that you have something that works for you. I have cystic fibrosis, it's so nice when they figure out what you need and make life easier with disabilities.
You're gorgeous BTW!

I have IBS, the cramps... sometimes I cannot even sit down in the bus or at work, very lovely when I go to the bathroom and suddenly a cramp hit me at a work stall, I really learned how to keep that scream without making a noise 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

This reminds me so much of my husband - he got his life back too ❤ he had a temporary ileostomy and decided to have it done permanently rather than get a j pouch soon after we met, I supported his decision at the time but didn't really understand. I do now - anything to not risk being that unwell ever again. Your videos help me understand more and more, thank you x

You are amazing. I love the way you are so honest and take away the fear of these procedures. My son has colitis.

Girl, you are the best! I’ve watched a bunch of your videos since getting my ileostomy in August of 2023 due to crohns and colon cancer. You’ve helped me accept it, and made me feel less weird and alone. Thank you!

Awe what a positive message for those who suffer from the same or even similar condition. You have a beautiful soul young lady and make this one subject into something that’s more interesting as well as show folks your life isn’t over . I have had diverticulitis and it was a nightmare but nothing to compare to what all you’ve been through. You are showing so many a positive attitude and make the best out of something that could otherwise be life threatening . I love how you named your ostomy Leroy how funny. Thank you for sharing dear and yes you can go on with your life and get over all the myths myths that only old folks have to have them, etc . 😊
