GG would be in the UK rear, no matter how small they represented a threat

People in the comments are angry at politicians influencing strategy. War is fundamentally political, issues like public perception are as important as logistics.

If the UK needed a political win, then it needed a political win.

Those criticizing the decision to attack Goose Green ignore the fact that the Falklands Campaign was overwhelmingly a Political War. There was an overwhelming need to maintain support in the UK, USA and UN.

I see some angry Argies and Russian troll farm bots in this comments section.

The smell of your opponents coping with their losses is truly a different experience in its own right..and I love it! 😂😂😂

Made no sense to attack Goose Green. The Argies there could have been blocked by one of the 2nd tier infantry battallions from 5 Brigade. Perhaps the Welsh guards, who were/ are not 1st tier, per the Royal Marines Parachute Regiment. Indeed the Welsh Guards were just not up to the yomping undertaken by the green/ red berets.

I’m trying to decipher how this action by the UK then is different than the actions of Russia now, yet the UK faced no condemnation.
