I am a Bulgarian who grew up in the Americas and didnt have the chance to travel Bulgaria as an adult. You were there! And should defenatly go back! There are so many places you can discover outside downtown Sofia!

Actually "Mekica" is very popular breakfast here in Bulgaria (and Banica), when I was kid my grandma make Mekici at least twice a week.

Vitosha mountain and Dragalevtsi Monastery, National Museum, Boyana Church and waterfall, Bankya, Pancherevo Lake? So many places just within less than 30min outside Sofia....
