This removal went very smoothly, with one small exception: I damaged the queen. Removals with large sheets of comb, obviously have to be cut. And while I take great care to make the cuts as gently as possible, sometimes it just doesn't work out.
In this case, I think I came down with the knife on the queen's abdomen, amd dented it slightly. She was moving fine, but I don't believe she has been mated, and probably ruined any chance of her doing so. But I added her to the colony, and we'll see if she makes it but I'm not putting too much faith in that. Fortunately, I've got a lot of newly mated queen's to take over for her.

wouldnt that make turpintene fumes???? like idk but im an aspiring chemist and i think that cooking down pine sap even in small anounts makes turpintene
