This event is part of two distinct series organised by the Florence School of Banking and Finance: #FBFDiscuss! and Women in Finance. This Oxford-Union style debate will bring together Sylvie Goulard (Deputy Governor, Banque de France) as a proponent and Renée Adams (Professor of Finance, University of Oxford) as an opponent to debate around the motion: ‘Should there be gender quotas on boards?’. The debate will be moderated by Elena Carletti (Professor of Finance, Bocconi University). After the opening statements, the event will see the direct participation of the public who will have the chance to pose their questions and vote for their favourite opinion.

Yes as long as they are rich capitalist women. The most important thing is too keep those nasty workers and poor people or worse, socialists, from the board. You must fight like hell to keep them subjugated.

The very fact that quotas are needs means they are not interested in the position or aren't good enough.

Forced change against natural order doesn't usually work out.

It's becoming so ridiculous comedy shows on TV seem more realistic.
