As an American, I've followed footy now for 25 years. And never in my time watching the NFL has there ever been an incident or event like Walsh's passing, especially in the manner that it happened. With the 18 hours time difference between me in Las Vegas and Adelaide, I woke up to this happening in real time and seeing this, it was shocking. Absolutely shocking. And that's saying something, because the player from Port Adelaide died about 4km from me on their end-of-season trip..

Again, footy is more than a sport, especially with things like this because with the exception of, say, Kobe Bryant, it's been a long time, at least in my lifetime, when we've seen an outpouring like this.

3 things:
1. This is a perfect example that the AFL, is more than just a football league.
2. I totally agree with the "You see it on TV, but never experience it yourself" quote.
3. Whether you're a Port Adelaide fan to a Richmond or Geelong fan, I think we all felt the pain, not just Adelaide.

regardless of team bias, I cannot understand how someone could dislike this video
Onya Patty for showing that it's okay to be hurt

R.I.P Phil
Seeing each game where all players/coaches all had their arms around each other made me feel so emotional and still does know and always most likely will.

P. Dangerfield: one of the best midfielders/forwards in the past 10 years, and probably ever. From a Swans fan 🙏
