Something that he did not say is that if you have the urge to cough after beginning your deep breathing, cough through your nose and resist the urge to cough through your mouth. This will help your normal breathing pattern to return. I found this technique to be quite effective. I am thankful for those who took the time to share it as I can now finally get some sleep, yay!
