5 Must Read Books - My Dev/Tech/Presenter Recommendations
Показать описание
In this video I want to show you my 5 top most useful books! These books that I cover (timestamps and links below) have been absolutely crucial in my developer career and have helped me understand both topics that I work on, on a daily basis and also helped me become a better all-round technologists and, even, presenter.
The 5 books I recommend to you here are mixed in topic and although some a quite specific to me and what I do, most of them are books I think that many devs could benefit from. I even categorise each book as either a book for "specific" devs, "every" dev and "everyONE". To help you actually use this video to your full advantage.
The books in question cover these topics:
* The Linux Terminal (Command Line) - How to use it
* Android App Development
* Using a command line text editor - Vim
* Useful SysAdmin knowledge
* Becoming a better presenter
This video is just to give you an idea of some of the books that I read and enjoy in order to help me learn the skills that I use regularly. I want to just pass on the information about where I got that knowledge from and give props to the writers! FYI I am not sponsored at all by any writer or book or publisher or anything.
Books and their timestamps ======================
02:14 - The Linux Command Line (William Shotts)
04:10 - Android Studio 3.5 Development Essentials (Neil Symth)
05:57 - Mastering Vim Quickly (Jovica Ilic)
07:52 - Unix & Linux System Administration Handbook (Many...)
09:16 - The Storyteller's Spellbook (James Whitaker)
=============================================
Thank you so much for watching. Feel free to reach out to me on my socials (below) with any questions or ideas for future videos...
