I read Good Omens earlier this year & loved it. Uprooted has been on my wishlist since it came out, it sounds so good!

I am so behind on the show but I have loved what I have seen so far, definitely seems to do the book justice. I have both Elder Edda and Kraken on my shelves so I will definitely bump them up in my TBR now. I love Good Omens (have you listened to the radio adaptation?) and I'm looking forward to Small Gods once I get to that point (reading them chronologically and only on Pyramids now). I love the two Terry Pratchett books you recommend as well as American Gods, I haven't started the TV show yet so looking forward to that.
I'd recommend Richelle Mead's Game board of the Gods/Age of X series, and wish the third book would hurry up

I'd also chuck in a recommendation to read more of Neil Gaimen's work. Neverwhere is my favourite, and there's also a really good graphic novel version.

I LOVE Small Gods aaand Good Omens ! I also agree that anyone who likes one of those authors will likely enjoy the other.

She said Egyptian G.O.Ds and African G.O.Ds. They are one in the same. The Egyptian G.O.Ds are derived from old African G.O.Ds. and there worship follows the nile thats flow from south to north. This is also true for the knowledge and technology.

I must admit I stopped watching it midway becasue in some instances I thought the writing to be terrible and I really disliked some changes... Plus the soundtrack was atrocious...
I can vouch for the quality and qualities of the Eddas, Small Gods and Good Omens, intrigued by the rest!

I must be watching a different tv adaptation. The book is marvelous, but the show is a train wreck.
