'Julie & Julia (2009)' is a story about the love for food and how it brings people closer. This film contrasts the life of chef Julia Child in the early years of her culinary career with the life of young New Yorker Julie Powell, who aspires to cook all the recipes from Julia's book, a 365 days challenge, which she documents in her blog.

'Julie & Julia (2009)' is a biographical comedy drama, directed and written by Nora Ephron. The film stars Meryl Streep and Amy Adams in lead roles, with Stanley Tucci, Linda Emond and Chris Messina in supporting roles.

Trivia: The screenplay is based on two books, 'My Life in France' an autobiography by Alex Prud'homme, and 'Julie & Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously' a memoir by Julie Powell.
