Another chance to see Status Quo's exciting 20th anniversary concert at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, in the presence of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. Introduced by Tommy Vance.

Both nights were recorded, with the latter of the 2 being broadcast and released by the band on various formats. The show was broadcast numerous times by BBC, varying in lengths, and mainly appearing on Tommy Vance's very own "Friday Rock Show".

The album was remixed in Autumn 1982 in Montreux by Dave Richards to improve on the audio, which was intended for video // BBC Broadcast only.

I know some people aren't impressed with the Tommy Vance voiceover but he was a Quo fan and his Friday Night Rock show was often good stuff. Aside from that this is a great live performance. Some fans never really took to Pete Kircher on drums but he was a superb rock drummer. Maybe I'm biased but my first Quo gig was 1984 at Bridlington Spa and it was loud as fuck.
Saw them again at Sheffield in 1986 and the sound was so much weaker.
Didn't bother again until FF 2014 at Manchester. No more need be said about how good that was.
Sort of closed a chapter of my life for me but I'll always listen to good hard rocking Quo.
They were the best.

8 years old when this came out on VHS with a silver sleeve and I watched it easily three times a week until the end of the road tour dropped and that became my staple. Video belonged to my Dad who always thought they were his band. Love the Tommy Vance interjections

Remember it well, went up on the coach from Bristol and was buzzing for days after. Such a great band to see live.
