Fix: SideQuest Not Detecting/Connecting Oculus Quest 2 Headset

A solution for the issue where SideQuest cannot detect and connect to your Quest 2 VR headset, even if the cable if a USB cable is connected to your PC.

It's a simple fix. You either need to reconnect the USB cable, or enable "Developer Mode" in your Oculus Android/iOS app, approve the Debugging Mode in the headset and then SideQuest will connect to your headset and show a green icon instead of yellow or red.

Mine doesn't even come up with the debug mode.. it just asks me if i want to do the link. i have had it working before in the past but now it doesn't want to work which is fustrating

I never got the option to enable usb debugging and I have developer mode on and have the adb drivers installed what do I do?

Dev mode is on. Ive tried unplugging and plugging it back in. Still didnt work. I even tried resetting my PC and it didnt work. Sidequest worked befroe for me but now it doesnt. Ive connected my oculus to my PC before so dont think i have to enable the connection, if i did it would prompt me already. I don't know what the problem is! I even deleted and reinstalled sidequest..

i’m plugging my quest into my mac but side quest doesn’t detect the oculus, it just says “Not Detected” even though i turned on developer mode. it doesn’t even have the wifi sign or numbers next to “Not Detected.”

No USB debugging option shows up. I tried connecting android phone to headset and the only thing showing is options or transfer file.

bruh 2021 there's no "settings" menu in the oculus app (or at least it's not in the right spot), and wherever I looked there was no developer mode option

The debugging option never happens on my oculus. Ive watched 2 seperate videos on how to setup sidequest and this step is what is preventing me from connecting the device to sidequest

when i go to the developer mode i have to register, make an account, verify it, and it doesnt even recognize my account

In my App it says I have to register as a developer. There is no slider to switch on :(

Ive done literally everything - everyone in the comments has said. I have DL games before on Sidequest and now it wont detect it for some reason. And i tried different ports, tried 3 different usb C cords.

It didint work in the developer mode switch is not a switch it sends me to a website to sign in on something that I won’t know of because if that I cannot continue the process

Im having trouble my app looks nothing like the one on your phone it says Alerts in the bottom right hand corner not settings developer mode is enabled and still no connection.

if you are having trouble with this then if you have a battery pack strap then you have to unplug the battery pack and plug it straight into the headseat. you cannot use the charging port from the battery pack

ahh thanks, I thought I had developer mode on because there is a developer option in the quest settings, but that is unrelated, I still had to do it in the app as you show. Thanks.
