I believe 5G is just a marketing drama, as Wifi has way more bandwidth than any 5G network provider can ever give.
And Wifi signal is available in both 5Ghz and 2.4 GHz both of them are higher than 2Ghz of 5G networks.
And we all know that more the frequency higher the speed. So I think Putting some optical cables in the wifi router would be way cheaper than putting 5G towers in every 100m.
Apart from that if someone promises you 1gbps, trust me, no is going to burn his server to really give you 1gbps.
As if you want a 1gbps network in a most standard web host or cloud services you have to spend 10000$ daily.
So if you think that your 4K movie would download in 2min then keep dreaming as even Google's play movie is limited to give 50mbps to each user.

I have been using unlimited data at home instead of wifi for the last 8 months mainly to save on cost (UK). I use my phone as a mobile hotspot for other devices. My question is about how effective are mobiles as hotspots. If my mobile is having download speeds of 10 mbps and I use it as a mobile hotspot for my laptop, will my laptop the same download speed my mobile does or is there a loss of speed? how do I calculate what my loss of speed would be if there is any?

Great video as always! So...is 5G going to be a sort of "slow roll out" ? I mean we're not going to wake up and suddenly 5G is here correct? That's the time table until 5G replaces and phases out older 3G equipment? Also with 5G, is there a need for 4G devices to be "Fallback" capable to 2G and 3G?

I think that Wi-Fi will complement 5G and be part of it in so called Network Slicing (NS) by the two well-known technologies of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). Is it true?

I would not like for broadband to be replaced by 5G.

Invest in a better mic for starters and ALWAYS check YOUR recording prior to downloading onto Utube.
