10 days is not near enough time, to get a handle on the python population. The time frame has to be extended, if the FWC is going to get this problem under control. And, for God’s sake, please caution people against eating these things!

FWC needs to come up with a better way to limit the population. With capturings counted in the low hundreds every year, and females capable of producing 50 eggs or more, and there being thousands of snakes, we'll never catch up unless there is a systemic approach.
Suggestion: Develop a python-specific sterilizing agent that could be implanted in a carrier animal (rabbits?) that would be activated when the carrier was eaten.
