Ed Koch was the kind of 'Liberal' my Mom was. Approachable, open and willing to hear both sides of an issue. He didn't run from it. He courted and encouraged it. He only knocked you if you couldn't defend your views. Not because yours didn't jive with his. I do believe he'd weep if he saw what's become of his beloved Party. He was an iconic, larger than life figure whose love of New York and it's people defined his Mayorship more than anything else just as the current Mayor's disdain for New York and it's people defines his.

Chills. I live in CA but I loved Ed Koch. He was on the Howard Stern show many times, I loved him as Judge Koch on the People's Court. RIP 🌹

A good man, he will be dearly missed. Thinking about Ed Koch always makes me happy. He was quite literally, one of the really good ones, if not the best.

Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Henderson, Associate Organist at Temple Emanu-El and Director of Music & Organist at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, for a FANTASTIC tribute to Ed Koch. What a wonderful send-off!
