LittleBigPlanet - The Current Situation

It seems like after everything, they decided to go through and finalize LittleBigPlanet 3's departure with a swift decision to remove LBP 3 from the PS Store.

So, this is a video where I discuss my opinions on this choice, and the current state of LBP as a community.

I will always miss this game/

I think they're just taking Sackboy out back to be shot, and replacing him with Astrobot

My prediction Is that they release a LBP collection with all three games combined with it's online components and community levels Intact.

It's really the safest route to go, I really don't care if we get a fourth title, I just want to see all three games be playable again.

Not to give anyone false hope but Sony has de-listed old games in preparation for a remaster. I don't believe that's the case though

If I had to make an honest guess, it's most likely the licenses expiring for various copyrighted tracks used in the game.
Same thing happened to LBP2 around it's 10th anniversary as well.

No joke, i jumped on reddit recently i think like 3 months ago just for the community due to me getting back into lbp. Then this happened lol, now im just making sackboys by hand for people 😂

They keep giving us crossovers, but no games, either make us a game, or just stop pulling him out of the garbage dump behind the studio, plopping him in front of the camera and tossing him back in

And just a month later they release a sackboy costume for LEGO horizons why include a costume for sackboy if their trying to end the franchise

Saw fandom. Ik it's fake and all but it gives me very small faith that it might come back 26th of September 2025. What I kinda find dumb, PlayStation doesn't understand the childhood they could be potentially taking away for newer generations. Lbp was one of those games perfectly well for any generation of kids. Sackboy adevntures is the equivalent of taking the what made the game creative and slap a "super mario crash bandicoot" platforming into it. It gives a bad name to the franchise

Even if public custom servers go up, it'll never bring back all of the user content that was originally published across so many years... That's the biggest loss of all, for me. 🤧 I miss playing TurboEggSalad's levels, anyone else remember him? He had one vastly popular, super detailed horror level with this metal city... and then all of his others on his many accounts were the most insane, unhinged, awesomely absurdist pieces of art ever. I wonder how he's doing now... What a visionary. 😢

I legit rushed and got the game digitally and as much of the dlc as i could, im realy loving the game. My second LBP game since the one on the psp when i was an early teen

I think the worst thing about this is Sony has done this to dozens of other franchises. And it will happen with dozens more.
