For my Game Design studies, we have Unreal Engine 4 lessons, and we are actually working on making Overwatch characters. Nothing more to say to understand that your videos are like a gold mine :)
Thank you again !

The Lets Create series is awesome! I only have minimal experience with blueprinting, so it is difficult to just intuit the nodes I need, but a series like this really helps out. Thanks.

Amazing content - so inspiring to see how simple some of these solutions are to amazing polished mechanics.

I reckon you would probably want to do some sort of ledge trace once you hit a surface to get the OPTIMAL Ledge climbing experience - but it looks like you have a pretty solid solution for the meantime and general use of a grapple hook!

This is great!!! If we remove the hook and replace it with launching towards a point we'll get Mercy's Guardian Angel flying ability!

Man, im glad someone else figured this out. I tried to do this just for fun and ended up just making widow maker dangle from the grapple hook.

If you don't wan't to have that little jump at the end, you can compare your pawn's Z axis coordinates before and after you grapple. If it is negative then you get a little jump if it's positive you don't. That way you could only jump when your pawn grapples some place higher. Haven't tested, no time to do it. I don't know much. Thanks for the video Matthew.

might not be a better solution for the "jump near the end of hook" to use the "HANZO wallclimb" instead ?
Also a tip to get rid of the "red linetrace line" : set the DRAW TIME in the "linetracebychannel" node to 0.

For people who used the Hanzo wall climb tutorial if you need two event ticks try using a sequence node
