GitHub Tutorial - How to “Git clone” a repository (Intro ~5 mins! no ads)
In this video I’m demonstrating how to clone a repository from Github. Git clone is pretty powerful, in that you not only get the most recent/updated repository, but every version for the history of that project is downloaded to your local repository.
Github is a version control software that is used by many developers to showcase their work and to share with their teams. It is quite beneficial to demonstrate your skill and work that you’ve done to recruiters/hiring managers etc. There are free and paid options. Watch the video to learn more!

This is a quick 5 minute video that’ll show you how to clone a Github repo and use it with your local Visual Studio Code editor. We go through the process of finding a repo, forking it, cloning it and navigating the downloaded project along with updating a file in there and pushing it back up to Github.
Please follow along, pause the video if you need to. You can clone the Github repo I’ll be using in this video or any other that you'd like to.
We will try to keep the content fun and engaging through tutorials and projects where you can find some quick wins and get motivated to move on to the next video.
Let’s go on this journey together and become awesome developers/analysts! Happy coding!
