The 8th & LAST Nightmare Critter Has Been Revealed!

Ok so with my theory of the nightmare critters each being an alter-ego of smiling critter, Maggie would defo purely be an alter-ego of Picky Piggy

My theory is that each nightmare critter will get their own special gas to utilize during the game:
Baba Chops: disorients the player to feel overwhelming fear
Icky Licky: makes the player feel sick and nauseous
Rabie Baby: allows other monsters to find the player easier
Allister Gator: makes the player sluggish and delayed
Simon Smoke: gives the player painful burning sensations all over their body
Poe: creates a thick smog that the player can't see in
Touille: a haze of stench that forces the player to run in another direction just to stop smelling it
Maggie Mako: makes the player feel hungry and crave food, not being able to go on unless they find a snack in time

And last but not least, we have Gluttony. Also, I've changed my mind about Cat Nap. His cartoon and bigger body incarnations seem to represent Zealotry and its ability to corrupt virtues.

Now that all the Nightmare Critters have been revealed, allow me to amend my previous theory on which Smiling Critters they’re supposed to be a foil/opposite to:

Bobby BearHug = Baba Chops (caring and friendly vs introverted loner)
CatNap = IckyLicky (calm and low-energy vs hyperactive and argumentative)
Bubba Bubbaphant = Rabie Baby (likes to learn vs only wants to know secrets about everyone)
Hoppy HopScotch = Allister Gator (fun-loving and energetic vs lazy and unmotivated)
KickinChicken = Simon Smoke (cool kid vs alpha douche)
DogDay = Poe (sunny and bright vs angsty and stormy)
CraftyCorn = Touille (loves creating new things vs obsessed with thrown-out things)
PickyPiggy = Maggie Mako (health nut vs junk food junkie)

My theory is that each critter represent a sin. Maggie is Gluttony, Allistair is sloth / laziness. I'm guessing Simon is greed, Rabie baby is gossip, Icky is pride and Pou is wrath. But I doubt it bc Baba and Touille don't represent one, but I'm seeing a connection.

I wonder if each nightmare critter will have a punishment area for children based on their description? Like piggy ate meat, meat is "good' and eating chocolate is bad because it keeps the children connected to their humanity... I'm just guessing.

I thought one of the nightmare critters was Ollie but his name is green. And Allister is the only green one. Had it been gray or something, I thought it'd be Touille as some letters makeup Ollie
