Plus with the addition of Lefty I’m not surprised these two are connected considering the visual similarities between the Puppet, Nightmare, Lefty and Nightmare Fredbear

Maybe the crying child's form of "death" is nightmare, because of his trauma, and William's form of "death" is nightmarionne because of him killing charlotte, which would explain UCN.

Let’s not forget that both of their jump scare sounds sounds extremely similar to Golden Freddy‘s jump scare from five nights at Freddy’s one.

I think that the overlayed jumpscare of Nightmarrionne and Nightmare is a foreshadow to Lefty, but instead of a Bear in a Puppet its the opposite

I also think that nightmarionne is the vengeful spirit in UCN because of the death line, “ Let’s taste death again, and again, and again, and again.” And you can fit the gaps…

I think the "Nightmare Plush" is more of a goof rather than something significant. And one clue I can find that they represent death is when the Crying Child is jumpscared by Nightmare, the jumpscare sound is taken from an ambulance siren.

Nightmarrione being a manifestation of the grim reaper makes sense
1. He is a skeletal figure( he’s even shown to have a rib cage)
2. One of his lines in ultimate custom night is let’s taste death again and again and again.
3. He is the only one who can kill you in only a few seconds in ultimate custom night.
4. He is the most difficult character to avoid that you cannot use the death coin on.
5. His music is literally about how an old man’s time was up.

I don't think nightmarionne in UCN was the vengeful spirit as that is still Cassidy since we can see her face even when nightmarionne is on screen sometimes. Look at one of his voice lines: "I am the fearful reflec-ection of what you have c-c-created!" He is a reflection of death, the fearful reflection of the puppet death uses to torture William Afton and say he isn't in control of death anymore
