'Full-scale' humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ethiopia

A major humanitarian crisis is unfolding in #Ethiopia, the United Nations #refugee agency said on Tuesday, with more than 27,000 people now having fled heavy fighting to Sudan. FRANCE 24's Bastien Renouil tells us more.

Make no mistake: the Abiy Ahmed and Isaias #warontigrai is not only a war on the multi-national federal order and democratic elections, but also a war aimed to exterminate the Tigraian people.
1) Abiy Ahmed denied the Tigraian people Covid-19 prevention tools and masks
2) Abiy Ahmed blocked roads connecting Tigrai to the rest of the country for more than two years.
3) Abiy Ahmed denied Tigraians budget and safety-net money
4) Abiy Ahmed has continuously portrayed Tigraians, in official TVs, as criminals and corrupt worthy of ostracizing and persecution.
5) Abiy Ahmed has persecuted Tigraians outside Tigrai. Tigraians are singled out at airports, their moneys confiscated, and barred from flying.
6) Abiy Ahmed has expelled all Tigraians from the military, the federal police, the air force, Ethiopian airlines and other federal institutions.
7) Abiy Ahmed calls Tigraians derogatory names such as "daylight hyenas" and "unfamiliar others".
8) Amid #USElections2020 and in the critical time when Tigraians harvest their crops, Abiy Ahmed launched war on Tigrai, on the ground that, among others, Tigrai has conducted an election.
9) Abiy Ahmed shut internet, telephone lines and electricity completely disconnecting Tigraians from the world.
10) Abiy Ahmed denied the Tigraian people locust-chemical spraying drones and planes, but sent them military planes to bombard them and their cities. He vows he will continue to bomb Tigraian cities and gatherings of people.

Remember: The condition for genocide against Tigraians is ripe in Ethiopia. There is a long history of hate preaching against Tigraians. There is a huge Amharic literature likening Tigraians to the jews of Germany and calls for "Ethiopians" to take lessons from "Nazi heroic extermination techniques". Abiy Ahmed is in the network of people that call for the extermination of Tigraians, ala the jews of Germany. It is important to remember that Abiy Ahmed's media, ESAT, called "the 95% of Ethiopians to exterminate the 5% [Tigraians]". The founder of that media, Berhanu Nega is now Abiy Ahmed's best friend and advisor and a leader of EZEMA, a shadow PP party that has happily endorsed the #WarOnTigrai Nobel Prize
